An immersive audio-visual room capturing the mudlarks following the rising and falling tide on the Thames foreshore.
The Tide Room is an immersive installation at the heart of the Secrets of the Thames exhibition. Visitors enter a darkened space where a large-format screen shows a time-lapse film of the tide rising and falling on the Thames foreshore, accompanied by spatial audio that recreates the sounds of the river.
Positioned at the end of the exhibition journey, the Tide Room is a quiet moment where visitors can observe and reflect. The room is next to Luke Jerram's Moon installation, concluding the visitor experience by connecting the moon to the Thames tides and the tides to the mudlarks.
